The ‘rapid’ fire engine that wasn’t quick enough

The Rolls Humber Rapid Intervention Vehicle became too slow for Cranfield Airfield. After being decommissioned from the Bedfordshire airfield where it was stationed, it spent some time at Kempston Fire Station in the 1970s before being bought by Richard Wallis. He told Edd Smith, that after nearly fifty years of looking after it, he wants to pass it to a new enthusiast.
