'Why Herefordshire's dark skies are perfect'
The county has picked up a prestigious award for nurturing its healthy night-time environments, which campaigners say is beneficial for stargazing and safeguarding wildlife.
Already one of England's least populated areas, Herefordshire is the perfect place to preserve the nocturnal beauty of nature and the night sky, with volunteers recognised for reducing light pollution in the county, picking up the DarkSky International Bob Gent Community Leadership Award.
Astro-photographer Ben Brotherton from Leominster, better known as @bbroastro to his hundreds of thousands of followers, tells Elliott Webb how he moved to the county, due to its dark sky.
