Lotto's 30 years: Studio intruders, faulty machines and jackpots
Alan Dedicoat remembers three decades of jackpots – and when things all went wrong.
Alan Dedicoat has been a familiar voice to millions -- whether it's on ´óÏó´«Ã½ One, on Radio 2 reading the news on Terry Wogan's show, heralding the dancers on Strictly Come Dancing -- or the National Lottery, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary.
The first draw took place on Saturday 19 November 1994. Alan joined the team the following year and has been announcing the numbers ever since. His role quickly earned him the moniker "Voice of the Balls", courtesy of Terry Wogan.
In this episode of the 5 Minutes On podcast, Alan looks back over the past three decades of highlights – and when things didn't quite go to plan.
