Damascus resident: 'Assad took everything from us'
Thousands of people in Damascus have been celebrating the fall of Syria's president, Bashar al-Assad -- after he was forced from power by Islamist fighters who've swept through the country virtually unopposed since launching a fresh offensive less than a fortnight ago. Crowds cheered and fired weapons into the air -- as word spread that five decades of rule by the Assad family had come to an end. Rania is a resident in Damascus.
