What is dreaded dartitis?

Kevin Painter is a former World Darts Championship finalist and has played on the biggest stages in the game. But he’s recently developed a psychological condition termed ‘dartitis’, which stops players from being able to release their darts.

But what causes these players to struggle on the oche?

Sportshour’s Henry Cowling speaks to Painter, as well as sports psychologist and former world women’s number one Dr Linda Duffy and coach Ronnie Rickner to find out more about the condition that stops players letting go.
