Shoplifting offences across England and Wales are at a record high: they're up 29% on the previous year.
Shoplifting cost the retail sector almost two billion pounds last year, it's pushing prices up, and some retailers say they're having to take extreme measures -- like carrying out citizen's arrests.
And a survey from the British Retail Consortium shows a 50% increase in levels of violence towards retail workers.
