'Christmas miracle' for Worcestershire abandoned rabbits
Over 100 rabbits were found dumped in woodlands near Chaddesley Corbett, many are being nursed back to full health by local sanctuary, Greatfield Small Animal Rescue, in Kidderminster.
The shelter's Lyndsey Hill gives Tom Edwards a tour of the place, as well as opening up on how they've rescued a number of the animals, taking them in and helping them reach a point they can very soon fly the nest!
Members of the public were running around the early hours in Worcestershire to save almost 100 rabbits which were left in the open. 56 were rescued alive, with others either dead of running into dense woods before they could be recovered. Other shelters around the West Midlands also took in the rabbits.
The RSPCA is still investigating the circumstances around how the animals ended up dumped in the woods.
