Good morning. Corwall Council has announced that it owns all the land necessary to build Langarth Garden Village.
The council owned most of the land already, but it had to obtain a Compulsory Purchase Order from the government so that it could purchase some bits of land which it lacked to complete the project.
The new development will be situated on the western edge of Truro, next to Treliske Hospital, and the council plans to build the first 150 houses by 2027.
Over the next 25 years, just over 3,500 homes will be built there all together.
As well as these homes, there will be two primary schools, parks, playgrounds, an energy centre and a sports stadium.

Local residents have been protesting against proposals by Cornwall Council to transfer the management of 28 car parks to private companies.
At the moment, one can park in these car parks free of charge during the winter but, apparently, the new managers would like to charge parking fees all year round.
Said Newquay resident, Liz Wright, "Local residents really utilise these car parks in the winter months when there are no parking charges to have access to our natural environment, which is really important for people's mental health and wellbeing."
A public consultation into this matter is now closed, and a spokesperson for the council said that the council would 鈥渃arefully consider鈥 the public鈥檚 responses before deciding what they will do with the car parks.

Launceston Young Farmers Club have been collecting Christmas trees to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity and the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
After Christmas, the farmers collected about 100 trees from members of the public and, in exchange, received about 拢500 in donations to these charities.
They then gave the trees to the Beach Guardians community group who used them to secure and protect the dunes in Constantine Bay.
The dead trees were planted in the dunes where they will catch the sand in their branches and hold it in place.
Because of this work, the dunes will continue to protect the beach from floods and coastal erosion into the future.
And that鈥檚 all from me for this week. Until next time!
This week鈥檚 An Nowodhow was written and presented by Steve Penhaligon and edited by Steve Harris.
