Campaigners celebrate Lea Quarry decision
The five year planning saga around Kidderminster and Cookley looks to have come to an end, with victory for residents and campaigners.
Developers NRS Aggregates wanted to extract sand and gravel at an open quarry at Lea Castle Farm.
They'd already had their plans rejected by county councillors, twice, and previously lost another appeal to an independent inspector, although that was later voided.
But after a second public inquiry in November, an inspector has now dismissed the plans again.
Adrian Carlos has been part of the Stop The Quarry campaign, and gives his reaction to Elliott Webb.
