Why Southport killer Axel Rudakubana isn鈥檛 a terrorist, despite pleading guilty to a terrorism charge.

In the summer of 2024, three young girls are murdered whilst at a dance class in Southport, Merseyside. 10 others are also injured in the knife attack, including eight children.

Teenager Axel Rudakubana, arrested at the scene, is in court accused of murder, attempted murder and a terrorism charge.

As his trial begins, he unexpectedly enters guilty pleas to all charges.

We ask why he appeared in court charged with an offence under the terrorism act, but wasn鈥檛 labelled a terrorist.
