Kerry Godliman: ‘They’d be like: Oh, here she goes, she’s going to go on about her womb'
Actor and comedian Kerry Godliman spoke to Anita Rani on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 4's Woman's Hour about her experiences of sexism as a woman in comedy.
When she started out in stand-up, she says she would consciously avoid talking about ‘women’s issues’ as audiences would ‘shut down’ and the mood would shift if she did.
But now, Kerry is about to embark on her latest tour, Bandwidth, where she’s tackling everything from the dilemmas of being a middle-aged woman, to parenting teenagers and getting HRT…
She spoke to Anita about how much she feels has changed over the years.
