Leicestershire local elections to go ahead
Districts and borough council leaders in Leicestershire have welcomed the news that county council elections will go ahead in May as originally scheduled.
Leicestershire County Council was told on Wednesday that it won't be included as a priority area for devolution and local council reform.
In January, Leicestershire County Council asked for permission to delay voting scheduled for May.
