Pipe major rehearses Celebratum for VE Day
A pipe major who only began playing the bagpipes four years ago has been preparing to play before the King on the 80th annniversary of VE Day (Victory in Europe).
Lady Jane MacRae is a former concert pianist who took up the bagpipes after someone told her she would not be able to play the instrument.
The maths teacher will play a specially composed tune, Celebratum, as the Lamp Light of Peace is lit, representing the end of war, during the ceremony at St Paul's Cathedral.
Both her parents served in World War Two and Lady MacRae says it is important to keep talking about the importance of VE Day.
