Sir Keir Starmer will visit the White House next week, in what will be his first trip to the US since Donald Trump became president. After a week which has seen America's longstanding support for Ukraine up-ended, the prime minister will have to tread a fine diplomatic line between his loyalties to Kyiv and his desire to win the ear of Mr Trump. Our diplomatic correspondent James Landale has this analysis of the challenges Sir Keir will have to navigate during his trip to Washington.
