For the聽last聽nine years, she has been a sister in the emergency department, commuting every day from her home in Manchester.聽
When Maria isn鈥檛 on the ward, she enjoys being outdoors as much as she can, from running through the streets of Manchester, to walking and climbing in the Lakes.
Her love of the great outdoors probably stems from family trips around Europe in their VW camper van when she was a child. Since qualifying, Maria has still managed to travel in her spare time and headed off to some far flung parts of the globe including two months in India and journeys to South East Asia, Australia and Morocco.
She also enjoys spending time with friends and family, with regular trips to the cinema, local comedy nights and chilling out with a glass of wine in the pub.
