What is Moxie?
The actual definition of Moxie is: The ability to face difficulty with spirit and courage. Skill; know-how.
I have to admit when choosing the name i wasn't aware it was listed in the dictionary as originally it was a nickname taken from my surname Moxom. Weirdly though i think it does sum me up.
What is Moxie not?
A cat although if i were to be reincarnated this would be the life. Food + human massages all day, you just can't go wrong.
What is the most played tune on your mp3 player right now?
SZA - See SZA Run
What is your guilty secret (record)?
I love a good pop record and Rhianna's album is my go-to-running soundtrack at the moment. She's not really a guilty secret though as I think if you like something then you have to be proud of it.
What was the first record you bought?
The first physical 12" I bought was the Mary J Blige album No More Drama. I remember buying this so clearly as it was just after i had got my decks for Christmas and this was my first experience buying records. I still have it somewhere in my room.
What is the soundtrack inside your head right now?
Basement Jaxx - Oh My Gosh
What is the biggest gig you have played?
Probably the closing set at Glastonbury this year to a couple thousand people. It was awesome.
What is the smallest gig you have played?
My bedroom haha. I threw a house party last year and my room naturally became the club area. It was a Halloween party so everyone was in fancy dress, it was a lot of fun!
Who would you most like to DJ head to head with?
James Murphy. I saw him play at Sonar a couple of years back and he totally blew me away with his selections.
Do you have any DJing superstitions?
Not really, although i do worry about time. I try to always get to my gigs at least 30mins before incase anything does go wrong i'll be able to sort it out.
