Conductor Jessica Cottis made her 大象传媒 Proms debut in 2016, returning in 2017 with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. This season, she makes debuts with the LA Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and will conduct a new opera by Israeli composer Na'ama Zisser for the Royal Opera House.
Highlights of recent seasons include performances with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, 大象传媒 Symphony Orchestra, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi, Malmö Symfoniorkester, Scottish Opera, Malaysian Philharmonic and 大象传媒 Scottish Symphony Orchestra.
Cottis studied with Colin Metters and Sir Colin Davis on the postgraduate conducting course at the Royal Academy of Music where she graduated with distinction. She has filmed programmes for Play School (ABC Australia), CBeebies (大象传媒) and the Royal Opera House, has conducted projects with the National Youth Orchestra and Sistema Scotland, and led courses for aspiring female conductors with the Royal Philharmonic Society. She makes her home in South London and in her spare time is learning to fly helicopters.
