World Bank Report Predicts a Rise of the Global Economy

World Bank forecasts a 3.1 per cent rise of the global economy in 2018.

The latest Global Economic Prospects report from the World Bank predicts a 3.1 per cent expansion of the global economy in 2018. We hear from the lead author Franziska Ohnsorge. Today is Primary Election Day in some US states, we look ahead to the results with Nathaniel Rakich from FiveThirtyEight, a website that focuses on opinion poll analysis, politics and economics. Also on the programme, a new United Nations report released today has found less than ten per cent of the plastic we use is recycled.
