Migration Tops EU Summit Agenda

European Union leaders meeting in Brussels hope to find a new deal on immigration.

European Union leaders meeting in Brussels hope to find a new deal on immigration. Sophie Pornschlegel is a project manager at the Berlin research group The Progressive Centre, and explains how serious a threat the issue of migration poses to Germany's government. And Claudio Borghi, of Italy's anti-immigration Lega party, tells us what he hopes the summit will achieve. EU leaders will also be discussing Brexit. Our regular economic commentator, Roger Bootle of Capital Economics, considers how much progress there might be on the topic. Also in the programme, we find out why the French cement giant Lafarge has been placed under formal judicial investigation. It's accused of funding a terrorist group and endangering lives in Syria. Oil giant BP has bought British company Chargemaster, which specialises in electric vehicle recharging stations. Brussels-based environmental campaigner Greg Archer gives us his reaction to the deal. Plus we have a report from Zambia on efforts to tackle illegal trade in wildlife in the country.
