Review of the Year - 2018

A trade war erupts; a scandal topples the Malaysian government and K-pop goes global.

A trade war has erupted between the US and China. President Trump has imposed tariffs on hundreds of billions of dollars worth of Chinese imports. Beijing has retaliated. Where do we go from here? Corruption, a global investment bank, movie stars and the downfall of a government. We explain the 1MDB scandal and what's happened to Malaysia's missing billions. Also, the fight against climate change has hit a roadblock, with the latest data showing carbon emissions on the rise. We hear from Britain's Prince Charles, who has consistently highlighted the need for change. And, we celebrate the rise of South Korean boy band BTS, who made music history this year.

Martin Webber is joined by Roger Johnson, president of the National Farmers Union (NFU) in the US, Deborah Elms, executive director of the Asian Trade Centre in Singapore, Bradley Hope at the Wall Street Journal and freelance journalist Taylor Glasby.
