A US judge has sentenced Mexican drug kingpin Joaqu铆n "El Chapo" Guzm谩n to life in prison plus 30 years. Guzm谩n was found guilty of 10 charges, including drug trafficking and money laundering, by a federal court in New York in February. He is a former head of the Sinaloa cartel, which officials say was the biggest supplier of drugs to the US. We hear from the journalist Jessica Loudis who attended the trial. Mexican investigative journalist Anabel Hernandez, who has been reporting on the links between the Mexican authorities, business and the drugs trade, tells us that this verdict does not change the reality for Mexico, still gripped by the drugs trade and endemic corruption.
