UK Prime Minister May renews efforts to push ahead with her EU deal

MP's have been unable to agree on any of the alternatives to Mrs May's original deal.

The British prime minister, Theresa May will face a renewed attempt today by MP's to find a parliamentary majority on the UK's future status with the European Union.

The Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has said that he accepts the verdict of voters after his AK party suffered major defeats in Sunday's local elections.

South Africa's minister of international relations, Lindiwe Sisulu, will meet ambassadors from several African countries today to discuss a recent spate of attacks against foreigners in Durban.
