Obama urges Americans to reject hatred

The former US president made these comments in a public statement

In a rare intervention, the former US president, Barack Obama, has urged Americans to reject the language of hatred, fear, and racial intolerance from any of their leaders.

The Kurdish authorities are pleading with Western governments for support in dealing with foreign fighters from so-called Islamic State, their wives and children.
