The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has said the world is waking up to the threat of climate change. Closing a special UN climate summit, he thanked young people for leading the charge.

The United Nations has warned that Nigeria is facing a housing crisis, with conditions among the worst in the world. On a visit to the country, the UN's housing rapporteur (Leilani Farha) said more than two thirds of Nigerians lacked basic amenities.
