Heavy fighting has been reported in northern Syria, as Turkey continues a major ground and air offensive against Kurdish forces. There's been widespread international condemnation of Turkey's action; 30 years on from the end of the cold war Russia's neighbours are again starting to feel uncomfortable; and a possible breakthrough in science which could enable people with paralysis to feel the sensation of touch again.
