We examine the business models of public service TV and radio and consider their future. British MP Robert Halfon tells us why he's calling for a referendum on the idea of scrapping the UK TV licence fee funding model for the 大象传媒. Oyvind Christensen is a senior civil servant in the Norwegian Ministry of Culture and explains why Norway has replaced its licence fee and replaced it with a new income-based tax. Amy Mitchell is director of journalism at the Pew Research Centre in the US, and discusses the model for public service broadcasting there. And we hear from Catherine Tait, chief executive of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, that she helped set up the Global Taskforce for Public Media because she believes public service broadcasting is under attack. Also in the programme, the International Air Transport Association has warned that airlines could lose up to $113 billion in ticket sales this year as a result of the new coronavirus. IATA's chief economist Brian Pearce brings us the details.
