US Makes Way For Turkish Operation Against Kurds In Syria

Kurdish fighters were key in defeating Islamic State militants in the region.

Kurdish fighters have, until now, been backed by the US and have been fighting Islamist rebels. However they are described as terrorists by Turkey. US officials in the Pentagon and the State Department have tried to persuade President Trump to keep an American force in the region. Also on the programme we take a look at the latest wave of worldwide protests organised by the Extinction Rebellion group and we'll be hearing about plans by Unilever, one of the biggest firms in the world, to half the amount of new plastic they produce over the next five years.
