Trump signs law backing Hong Kong protesters

China has reacted angrily threatening "counter measures" if the US continues "going down the wrong path".

Mr Trump said he signed the law "out of respect for President Xi and the people of Hong Kong". But China has reacted angrily threatening "counter measures" if the US continues "going down the wrong path".
