The G20 group have agreed to suspend debt payments from the world's poorest countries
Nations belonging to the G20 group of leading economies have agreed to suspend debt payments owed to them by some of the world's poorest countries. The agreement covers money that is due to be paid to G20 governments up to the end of 2020. Eric LeCompte, executive director of Jubilee USA Network says it鈥檚 a good start but more needs to be done. Also in the programme, we hear how Canada and India are viewing the lockdown and when to start easing restrictions and Amazon has confirmed its vice president of the European Union segment, Roy Perticucci, has stepped down. Plus we meet two entertainment professionals who have found new ways to make ends meet after losing their jobs, by taking up work at their local grocery store.
All through the show we鈥檒l be joined by Ralph Silva, of the Silva Research Network in Toronto and business journalist Sushma Ramachandran in New Delhi.
