UK government to include the number of deaths in care homes in its daily figures
A third of all coronavirus deaths in England and Wales are now happening in care homes.
From today the UK government will include the number of deaths in care homes and the community in its daily figures. The number of people in the UK who have died of the coronavirus in hospital stands at over 21,000, but there are also thousands of deaths in care homes; with more than 3 millions infections around the world and almost 220,000 people who've died, how close are we to a vaccine?; and away from the pandemic: who is a fit and proper person to own a football club, the English Premier League will be passing judgement on Saudi Arabia's attempt to buy Newcastle United, but human rights campaigners aren't happy.
