Cities across America have implemented curfew measures aimed at preventing another night of angry protests over the killing in police custody of the unarmed Black man, George Floyd. However, some protesters have remained on the streets in defiance.

Nevertheless, the government has insisted this is one of the most dangerous phases of a pandemic, which has claimed more than 33,000 lives in the country.
