An alliance of agencies say the Covid-19 outbreak could cause widespread food insecurity. Maximo Torero is chief economist of the UN's Food and Agriculture Organisation, and discusses the impact of the pandemic on food security and food supply. We consider the potential vulnerabilities of the globalised way much of our food is produced with Professor Tim Lang of the Centre for Food Policy at City University in London.
