Western countries have placed further sanctions on Russia after President Putin ordered troops into two breakaway regions of eastern Ukraine. We hear directly from some of the main diplomatic voices on both sides of the crisis, and get an update from the Wall Street Journal鈥檚 Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent Yaroslav Trofimov, who is in Kyiv. Professor Avinash Paliwal of the School of Oriental and African Studies in London tells us why India is walking a tightrope when it comes to responding to the situation in Ukraine, given the country鈥檚 close military and commercial ties with Russia. Bloomberg correspondent Simone Foxman has been at the summit of the world鈥檚 leading natural gas producers in Qatar鈥檚 capital Doha, and tells us other suppliers will be unable to meet the shortfall caused by the disruption of Russian gas exports to Europe. Shaistah Akhtar, an expert on sanctions law at London-based law firm Mischon de Reya, tells us how the impact of the measures taken against Moscow by countries such as the UK will be felt in Russia.
