Floods in Indian state of Assam

We hear from people affected by the flooding

Flooding and landslides in the Indian State of Assam have killed at least seven people and left more than thirty thousand displaced. India's weather office has forecast more heavy rain in the coming days. Assam regularly faces flooding during the monsoon season but experts say climate change has increased the frequency and intensity of the floods. We speak to our reporter in India, and hear from people affected by the flooding.

Ukraine鈥檚 president has said Russian forces have 鈥渃ompletely destroyed鈥 the eastern Donbass region. We speak to our experts about how Russia is pushing forward there and reportedly withdrawing forces from Mariupol to focus on the east. And we hear how some people in Russia are risking fines and prison terms by voicing their opposition to the invasion of Ukraine.

We hear from our correspondent who鈥檚 has had an exclusive access to facilities in Rwanda that will host refugees from the UK. The two countries have struck a deal to move some of the people who are coming to Britain illegally to be processed and settled in Rwanda.
