UK MPs back assisted dying bill

The British parliament has voted to progress a bill that could legalise assisted dying.

British MPs have voted to advance a bill which would legalise giving the terminally ill the right to end their own lives. If approved at a later reading it will give those with less than six months left to live the option of having a doctor prescribe them lethal drugs.
