Graeme Obree - The Flying Scotsman

How cycling's prestigious hour record was beaten by a Scotsman on a home-made bike in 1993.

In July 1993, Scotsman Graeme Obree broke cycling鈥檚 prestigious world hour record 鈥 riding on a home-made bike nicknamed 鈥淥ld Faithful鈥. The revolutionary design, which included parts of a washing machine, helped Obree cover more than 51 kilometres in 60 minutes. He talks to Ian Williams.
