Russia's Pension Protests

In Russian towns and cities outside the World Cup spotlight, there have been protests about government plans to push back the state pension age, announced on the first day of the tournament. 大象传媒 Russian's Sergey Kozlovsky travelled to Omsk to meet protesters.
Thailand cave rescue
During the rescue operation to save the 12 Thai schoolboys and their football coach, a huge community sprang up outside the Tham Luang cave - rescue workers, volunteers and of course the world's media. Watchiranont Thongep of 大象传媒 Thai spoke to some of them.
Hand signs of Johannesburg
In Johannesburg and its townships, people use a system of hand signs to hail a taxi and tell the driver where they want to go. The system exists with local variations throughout the country. Our guide in Johannesburg is Milton Nkosi of 大象传媒 Africa.

Uzbek police scandal
Uzbeks have been shocked by revelations about a police officer who ordered a woman detained on suspicion of theft to strip naked - and filmed her on his phone. The 大象传媒's Rustam Qobil tells us the scandal has prompted demands for police reform.
Taiwan euthanasia
Earlier this year, Taiwanese sports anchor Frank Fu travelled to Switzerland to end his life at Dignitas, an organisation that helps with assisted suicide. His efforts to change the law sparked a huge debate in Taiwan, as we hear from Tzu-wei Liu from 大象传媒 Chinese, who followed Frank's story.
Afghan TV
A year ago, Afghanistan welcomed its first majority-female station, Zan TV. Nearly all of the 50 employees are women, covering a range of issues from a female perspective, from Taliban fighting to Afghan pop culture. Sana Safi of Pashto TV tells us more.
