Simple Minds turn 40
The hit '80s band Simple Minds celebrate their 40th anniversary with a new live album. Plus The Darkness on their new album Easter is Cancelled, Summer Walker and Dermot Kennedy.
The hit 1980s band Simple Minds are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year, and to help mark the fact they have just released a new live album recorded recently on their biggest ever American tour. The band's singer Jim Kerr will be telling us what keeps the band fresh after all this time.
We will also be hearing from the rock band The Darkness whose roots lay firmly with the classic rock sounds of the 1970s and '80s. Their new album continues their slightly tongue in cheek approach and its called Easter is Cancelled.
There is also music from the debut album from American singer Summer Walker and the first from singer Dermot Kennedy, plus new hit songs from Ed Sheeran, Travis Scott and the first UK hit for the hugely successful American country duo Dan and Shay.
We also find out if Tones And I can extend their run at the top of the UK singles chart with their global hit Dance Monkey.
