Mr P has undoubtedly had a massive influence on African music. Alongside his twin brother, he formed the hugely successful P-Square, the first Afrobeats supergroup. They set the standard, making an impact on the world stage and forging a path for the explosion of musical talent we’ve seen in the last decade.

Now, more than three years after P-Square’s acrimonious split, Mr P is finally releasing his debut solo album, The Prodigal – and he’s been telling TIA all about it.
