Concrete has built the modern world, but is responsible for eight percent of the planet's greenhouse gas emissions - and we鈥檙e set to use even more of it in the coming years.
As the world becomes more populous, experts say we鈥檙e likely to use 25 percent more concrete in the next decade. But concrete is also responsible for eight percent of the planet鈥檚 greenhouse gas emissions.
There are concerns that the industry isn鈥檛 taking its carbon footprint seriously enough. So our climate question this week is: Must our future be cast in concrete?
