Can computer games improve mental health for young people?

How computer games are being used to help children process grief and powerful emotions.

This week on People Fixing the World, we meet the clinical psychologist who recommends computer games to her adolescent clients to improve their mental health; and hear about the game designed to support young people who鈥檝e recently lost a close relative.
Whilst many parents worry about the distraction of games consoles and smart phones, Daniel Gordon speaks to the people who say they can be beneficial in helping young people process grief and other powerful emotions.
In the United States, it鈥檚 believed the 鈥渄igital therapeutic鈥 sector of the games market could eventually be worth billions of dollars 鈥 much of that accounted for by games which their designers say have been scientifically proven to work.
