Fanicko

DJ Edu meets Fanicko, a musician from Benin who's making a name for himself across west Africa.

Fanicko鈥檚 music may be very different from that of his superstar countrywoman Angelique Kidjo, but in some ways he is following in her footsteps. He鈥檚 only the second artist from Benin to reach a million views on YouTube, and he鈥檚 also forging a successful international career. As he tells This Is Africa, he鈥檚 found ways to connect with fans in nearby countries including Ivory Coast, Cameroon and the two Congos.
