UAW: Detroit automakers reached a deal
The United Auto Workers union has agreed to a tentative new contract with General Motors
The United Auto Workers union has agreed to a tentative new contract with General Motors, two days after the union expanded the strike at the carmaker. After a bruising six week walkout at America鈥檚 big three unionised carmakers, the historic strike could soon be over if union members approve the agreements.
The union also said that the lowest-paid workers at Stellantis would see wages rise by more than 165% over the period of the agreement.
