It鈥檚 awards season. We鈥檙e talking Grammy鈥檚, Golden Globes, Emmy鈥檚 and the Oscars. But, as usual, there鈥檚 been controversy about how diverse the nominees and winners are. After Barbie鈥檚 director Greta Gerwig was snubbed for the Best Director nomination, it鈥檚 got people talking.
The 大象传媒鈥檚 culture reporter Noor Nanji talks us through some of the times when awards shows failed in diversity and the ways they are trying to fix it. We get the inside track on how the Grammy nominations work, from recording academy member Navjosh Singh.
And the founder of Diversity in Cannes, Yolonda Brinkley, tells us how she thinks the film industry needs to change.
Also, the 大象传媒鈥檚 Kostas Kallergis explains what鈥檚 behind Greece鈥檚 recent decision to legalise same sex marriage.
