If i had to pick 1 tune out of Paul's selection it has to be Grace-not of yet,i still get chills and flashbacks from over ten years ago where at the time i had to travel to Orlando to go to clubs. So many memories.Where did it all go??Nice one Radio 1.

Nikos - Greece

Jesus, I love Oaky!I have a CD of his which includes a remix of Justin Timberlake's 'Cry me a river'. It is awesome. I cry everytime I hear it. Wicked - Respect to Paul

Erica in Chester
We have followed Oakey for years, the tunes he has chosen have brought back memories of some of the clubs we have seen him play around the UK, I especially remember when he played Unfinished Sympathy in Cream Liverpool, it still gives me goose bumps hearing him play it again.

Rennie - Bournemouth
This show really does sum up what a legend Paul Oakenfold is and how influential he has been and continues to be.He has been involved in electronica's evolution from the very beginning.. From Acid House to Madchester right through to bringing proper Trance to the masses back in 97.. and then his remix/mixing work speaks for itself!Well done radio 1 for recognising such a person and one for my generation I feel (I'm 28!)Great show.ThanksRennie

Andrena- Ireland
An epic assortment of classically beautiful and uplifting dance tunes. Very nostalgic, lovely to hear such a legend, talk about his obvious passion for dance music. thanksAndrena

Alex. Canada
Ha sweet how he put his gao trance from 94 in there

Matt Smith, South London
Just finished his new book the day I found this show online, I am stoked by both. I really got a sense of his musical evolution with each selection, plenty of history in there. I've seen Paul play in superclubs and in tiny bars with 100 odd punters and he always delivers. A pioneer...

bill, london
I discovered the so called goa mix about a couple of years ago.. Since then I've heard it innumerable times. When I see the year being 1994 I always find it hard to believe it's been 13 years since P.O. created what is one of the best music compilations I've listened to -- ever. I'm glad he included a piece here, think it was deserved.

Colin in Milton Keynes
The 1994 Goa trance mix was brilliant and made me buy decks, still have it and it sends shivers down my spin and the memories flood back.

Scotti -- West Union, West Virginia., USA
Sweet tracklist!! Go Oakie, Go!

RE-303, Sheffield
Personally, I would've thought his first choice to play by the Mondays would've been his own remix of W.F.L. Completely an unforgettable track that remains in my brain for HISTORY....x Nuff respect, all the ame ;o)

Brendan - Chicago
Oakie is a legend; he didn't play his re-mix of Stone Roses' Waterfall, which is amazing in its subtlety. All of his re-mixes are 'Even better than the real thing'. Dance owes PO, big time.

Mike, Chester

Raoul, Dublin
This guy is proper sick, much love Paul, the show was awesome!

Lucie Hey Southend on Sea
This is like the Soundtrack to my discovery of music. It shows you that from the charts (which alot of these were in) leads you to other styles of music and it helps you discover new things. Brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!

charlton Australia
Oakenfold spins - love the music love the commentaryhappy birthday R1 & thanks for the years.

Jake Williams (British bloke in Toronto)
When seeing the line up for legends, I was especially interested in seeing what Oakey would pull from his crates .It Must be a difficult choice considering all the classics he has had a production credit on... so a few non surprises but all cuts were quality reminders of his forward thinking and his invitation to rightfully shelter under the umbrella of other 大象传媒 chosen legends. Great tunes鈥reat DJ/Producer and all in all a nice trip down memory lane. Class!!

Alan Tinsley, Liverpool
His collection of tunes shows why he's one of if not the most successful dj/producer of all time.

Have your say!

What did you think of Paul Oakenfold's Radio 1 Legends show?
