Tony Blackburn joined Chris Moyles for the Breakfast Show and recreated the moment when Tony launched the station 40 years ago.
Vernon Kay chatted to some true Breakfast Show greats including DLT, Mike Read, Simon Mayo and Mark Radcliffe. 
Sara Cox was joined by her old mate Zoe Ball and reminisced about boyfriends, booze and not turning up for work. 
JK and Joel ran down the Top 40 with some former Top 40 presenters including Mark Goodier and Bruno Brooks finishing the show with the most played song on Radio 1... Ever!!!
Annie Nightingale was joined by Annie Mac to revive The Request Show. Before the days of email and text messages Annie Nightingale would spend her entire week opening sacks of letters and parcels from listeners desperate to get their tune on the radio.
The A-Z of Radio 1 tells the 40 year story of the station in 26 letters. All superbly mashed up by DJ Yoda and containing language some people may find offensive.
