Now the nerves are starting to Kick in. With a live band its not like a CD player - you can't just play it again. Anything can happen.
The positive side is that as an artist you have more control. You only have to look at a drummer a certain way for him to know to drop out on your last line. It's a really surreal experience because everyone just kind of looks and nod, but we all know what we are talking about.
The sound engineer was the same guy from last year - he was surprised that I remembered him. We had loads of fun and I was glad to be put in a position to have the experience of playing with a live band again. Who knows If I sell enough records maybe I'll take it to the road.

I'm not new to performing with a live band as I was given the opportunity to experiment last year on Ras Kwame's first ever show. But this was different, in the sense that I now have more material that people were likely to know.
So we had to make sure we got this one right. Got to shout out my boy Shux for being the man behind the band. He put together Gareth, Don, Charlie, Turkish, Sewuese, and El Rae.
By the time I got to rehearsals they had already managed to recreate tracks that had come out of my very own head to a T. So I am not going to sit here and take all the credit cos I was even 3 hours late to rehearsal. As soon as I got on the mike it felt good.
