One-man psycho industrial pop cheese techno sample racket anyone? Robochrist was听in session on Rob's show from 11pm on Thursday 2nd February. Click on Listen Again to hear the show.

Robochrist, aka Chris Catalyst aka Chris, first came to our attention after sending his 5 track demo to Rob da Bank. We gave it a listen and became addicted to his mashcore masterpiece that we fondly know as Track 3. We since discovered that it's called Ghost Train Nosebleed.

Regular listeners to the show will know that this is the track that features a halfway interlude from the north's very own Johnny Vegas bigging up Robochrist in his own special way.

Hailing from Leeds, Robochrist has been seen lurking around stages in venues with artists such as The Wildhearts, Long Blondes, The Futureheads and Black Wire.

Of course, we love him more because he's doing it one-man-band style (always a winner with OneMusic). He describes a his music making process as such:

'Backing tracks on a Roland MC505, record into Cool Edit, stick a load of samples on it when stoned.'

The OneMusic first birthday shows will be his first appearance at Maida Vale. We're quite scared. We don't know what to expect but it'll probably involve one, if not all, of the following: industrial pop cheese techno sample racket.
