This week Rob's show includes an exclusive mix by minimalist techno trio Sender Berlin showcasing their new album Unequal Arts.
Sender Berlin are native Berliners Stassy (Torsten Litschko), HendriX (Hendrik Vaak), (Stassy) and their DJ Luke (Alexander Lukat).
They started out in 1998 as organizers, producers and DJs at the weekly Headquarters night at Berlin's Tresor Club.
Their aim has been to document the changes in their local scene since the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Since 2000 they have recorded their gigs and have released them on cd and dvd, including their appearance at Fabric in London where John Peel was also DJing.
No strangers to Radio 1, their Fabric set appeared as a Peel Session on John's show in 2002.
Unequal Arts is Sender Berlin's third album and was three years in the making. It is an attempt to move away from their Detroit roots and 'make everything different.'
