A favourite song:

‘Raag Des’, is a piece that I learned 15 years ago. It's a nostalgic raag about the rainy season. It tells of a robin who’s trying to hide away from branch to branch, from forest to forest. He sings of how he wants to keep himself dry but can't. Despite the thunder and torrents, he keeps singing. It's a very emotional piece and reminds me of Scotland and how I manage to live here. The weather's always dull and drizzly yet it never stops me from singing!
